Elimination Diet day 6

Author: admin 29.09.08

Despite the headaches and the unplugging of the coffee machine in my house, the Elimination diet has been pretty easy so far.

Some of my habits for meals were pretty good, or should I say Elimination diet friendly…

Here is a run down of the things i consumed yesterday:

Breakfast: 3 egg omelete with just one yoke, with onions, peppers, mushrooms and some ham

Snack: smoothie with banana, red berries, natural yoghurt and cranberry juice. (this was after my Mountain bike ride)

Lunch: home made vegetable soup and corn on the cob.

Snack: dried grapefuit pieces, no coating or preserving agents

Dinner:  Chicken, lightly sauteed potatoes, broccoli and carrots

About 3 liters of water throughout the day.

The biggest changes are really the complete absence of bread and coffee. How much of a difference does this make?

Well since my return from the US last week I have drop 1.5kg already…

This time of year is supposed to be quiet for the Fitness Professional. Clients are going on holiday having worked their butt off for the last few months to get their beach body, the gym is too warm to train in, outside the sun is unbearable during the day making it uncomfortable getting the workout done.

BUT, I am seeing a different group of people coming through lately… and it is not a bad thing either. It seems there is more focus on lifelong good fitness and diet habits rather than the old peak and trough during different times of the year.

Despite what our “popular” media are saying I do beleive there is a change in peoples attitudes to their health, many of the new clients I am meeting are talking about making a turn around in their old habits, taking positive action to reverse the ever expanding waist line.

What actions are you taking to reverse the trends in your life?

Time to make a choice of better healthier habits, take responsibility for your body.
